1960 2nd Asian Cup winning member Park Kyung-hwa passes away… at the age of 84

Park Gyeong-hwa, a veteran soccer player who won the 2nd Asian Cup, passed away on the 4th. She is 84 years old.

Born in Haeju, Hwanghae-do in 1939, the deceased played an active role as a striker at Baejae High School, Yonsei University, Military Police Office, and Cheil Industries soccer team after liberation. In 1960, he contributed to winning the 2nd Asian Cup held in Seoul. This is the last time Korea has won the Asian Cup.

In the 1962 Asian Games in Jakarta,먹튀검증 the deceased participated in five matches from the group stage to the final, contributing to the runner-up. After his retirement, he left a mark as a leader, such as serving as the men’s national team coach in 1970 and the first coach of the women’s national team in 1990.

He is also a member of the 1st Asian Cup winning team in 1956 and the younger brother of Park Gyeong-ho, who passed away in March 2021.

Park Kyung-hwa’s mortuary was prepared in room 201 of the funeral hall at Konkuk University Hospital in Seoul. Her funeral is on the 6th.
