A fence too low for a 201cm outfielder, a hitter who is deprived of a home run is ‘unfair’

Tall outfielder Aaron Judge (New York Yankees) took a home run from Teosca Hernandez (Seattle Mariners).

On the 30th (Korean time), in the 2023 Major League Baseball game against the New York Yankees held at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington, USA, Hernandez hit a big ball against Albert Abreu after two outs at the end of the 8th inning, trailing 4-9.

The batted ball went straight and headed for the wall. However, there was a tall 201cm tall outfielder Judge in his place. Judge jumped up and caught the ball that crossed the yellow home run line on the fence and ended the inning.

Judge also hit the 16th home run of the season from 1st base with no out in the 3rd inning when the match was 1-1, followed by a double from 1st base with no out in the 5th inning, and in the 6th inning, after one out, he added his 17th home run of the season, totaling 4. 3 hits (2 home runs), 3 RBIs, 3 runs, 1 walk.

After the game, the official homepage of Major League Baseball reported Judge’s performance, saying, “Jersey crossed the fence three times. Twice with a home run, and once by stealing (a ball).” Director Aaron Boone did not hide his smile, saying, “It was a perfect performance with two homers, a triple, and a walk.”

The website said, “According to STATS, Judge is the player who hit two or more home runs and stole one home run in the first game since July 30 last year. And last year, the main character was also Judge. In the past 30 years, such performance has been twice. It is the first time that I have introduced it,” he explained.

“I just played the best I could for the team,” Judge said modestly. “I don’t know if it was the best defense today. If it was a close score or a game-ending play, it might have been the best catch.”

On the other hand, after the game, Hernandez expressed his regret at losing the home run in a different way. He tagged Aaron Judge’s account on his social media and left a word, “Why”. Hernandez’s ‘cute’ protest garnered over 200,000 views in an hour.

“Brother, I’ve had a lot of home runs hit over my head this year! I just caught one,” he wrote to Hernandez in a reply.안전놀이터

But half of what he said is not true. In the match against San Diego the previous day (29th), Judge also showed a good performance by hitting a home run in the first inning and catching Lougned O’Door’s home run batted ball with a jump catch in the second inning.

If Hernandez was really mad at the stolen ball, he wouldn’t have written to Judge. Hernandez, who rather praised Judge’s Hosobi in a short writing, and Judge’s ‘Tiki-Taka’, who cheerfully responded to it, stood out.
